Challange

The main challenge was to develop a website that effectively serves as a comprehensive learning platform while being accessible to a wide audience, including students, educators. The site needed to be both educational and engaging, providing users with easy access to learning resources and tools.

The main challenge was to develop a website that effectively serves as a comprehensive learning platform while being accessible to a wide audience, including students, educators. The site needed to be both educational and engaging, providing users with easy access to learning resources and tools.

Result

The final website significantly enhanced user experience, with noticeable improvements in how users interacted with the platform. The design made educational resources more accessible, leading to higher user satisfaction and increased platform usage. The mobile-responsive design ensured consistent and user-friendly interactions across all devices, helping Boleh Belajar grow its user base and strengthen its position as a go-to educational platform. The overall positive user feedback highlighted the success of the redesign in making learning both effective and enjoyable.

UX Journey for Boleh Belajar Website Revamp

1. Audit and Analysis:
The UX journey began with a comprehensive audit of the existing website, meticulously reviewing each page, section, and component. This analysis was data-driven, focusing on key metrics such as engagement rate and bounce rate to identify areas of improvement. The audit provided a clear picture of where users were struggling and which elements needed enhancement.



2. Benchmarking:
Following the audit, we conducted extensive benchmarking against competitors and similar products. This step involved studying industry best practices and gathering insights on what worked well for other educational platforms. The goal was to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement based on proven strategies.


3. Ideation & Exploration
We then entered an exploratory phase, where insights from the audit and benchmarking were synthesized to generate ideas. This involved brainstorming sessions to explore different design approaches and content structures that could better meet user needs and enhance overall user experience.

3.1 Style Guide Creation

The sitemap structured the entire website, ensuring logical navigation and content flow. It served as the blueprint for how users would interact with the site, guiding the organization of pages and the prioritization of content.

To maintain consistency throughout the website, we developed a style guide that outlined the visual and interaction design elements. This guide included typography, color schemes, button styles, and other design components, ensuring a cohesive look and feel across the platform. The style guide played a critical role in maintaining brand identity and providing users with a seamless and intuitive experience.



3.3 Exploration with alternative iterative designs
I also explored various alternative desgn concepts based on insights from audits and benchmarking. I explored various pov designs such as layout spacing and illustrations. besides that, I also did iterations to get the best results.



4. Designing:
We moved through iterative design phases, from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, constantly refining based on user feedback and testing. The designs were tested and optimized to ensure they addressed user needs and improved engagement. Finally, the design underwent A/B testing to validate its effectiveness. Continuous optimization ensured that the final product significantly enhanced the user experience and met the platform’s educational objectives.
